Hummus - yes & no

Hummus with roasted garlic - YES
(the smell alone is wonderful)

Hummus with gobs of mushrooms - no :\
(this really thins out the hummus due to all the moisture in mushrooms)
I may try it with a small amount of baby bella mushrooms in the future...possibly sauteed first, to get water out.

Care to share any cooking experiments/lessons?

  1. Never tried it either way. I usually do add garlic to my hummus, but never like that. I have a good recipe at home that comes out every time, but it's pretty basic. Do you use tahini? I have it but I have found I don't miss it if I don't put it in.

  2. Roasted garlic is SUPER easy. Cut top off, wrap in foil, roast at 375 for about an hour :) Amazing flavor and aroma. Just squeeze from the bottom and the cloves slide right out.
I do use tahini, good to know about not missing it-I'm almost out. lol
    Thanks!
